Icky Thump is pure, unfiltered White Stripes magic.  Jack White's guitar playing is at its most ferocious and inventive, while Meg's drumming feels simple and yet, unstoppable.  It's weird, bold and colorful...and sounds like absolutely nothing from that point in time, or maybe ever.  If you are looking for an album that is alive and defiant, Icky Thump is an absolute essential.  One of their very best.
